right now i am feeling a bit left out.

here is my package info. 2.33 mbp, 2gb matte, 160gb hd

Oct 30, 2006 11:08 AM Picked up SHANGHAI CN
Package received after FedEx cutoff

I wonder why packages sent after this listed time, made a flight, yet mine didnt and if Fedex tracking is correct, it is sitting in china still.

Very bummed.

i would think that the package was delivered to fedex in time to go out. but i have to wait. this was originally estimated for shipping on 10/31, delivery nov2-3. ordered with express shipping.

this site is showing updates on my order that aren't even appearing on the FedEx site.
turn out my MBP (which is heading for calgary (western canada)) went from alaska, to memphis, and is now in mississauga ontario. For those of you who may not know, calgary is probably closer to anchorage than any of those other cities, even if it is just over a 3 hour drive to the states. Seems like they're having it circle North America before it gets to me. The kicker is that i live in ontario right now, but the MBP is being shipped to calgary and is being brought to me when family visits next week! yeesh

I'm about 10 hours earlier in Shanghai:

10/30 1:39 AM Left origin SHANGHAI CN
10/30 1:38 AM Picked up SHANGHAI CN

So maybe you're on the flight that left next? I'd expect you'd start seeing the same activity tomorrow as the 139 group is now.

I'll think you'll notice too that the times are identical for packages until the scan info in Indianapolis, IN. I expect that these come as full pallets all the way until that point then are broken there. You'll see my IN time is different than the others:

10/31/06 01:57 am
Status Scan
Indianapolis, IN

while my other times are identical:

10/30/06 01:55 pm
Left Fedex Sort Facility
Anchorage, AK

etc.

Not sure if about this but it's a decent guess. Also, hence the California pakages in Indiana, etc. - everything goes all the way to Indiana then splits.

That is very interesting. My FedEx widget doesn't show this latest info but your link does:

10/31/06 01:57 am
Status Scan
Indianapolis, IN

8 mins. behind yours.

This info is not on the data from the main FedEx page. Good link! Wonder why this site posts quicker? Nice.

dont be so quick...I think its some sort of glitch. Another mapping site does not reflect the IN scan...its only isnoop so far. FedEx wont ship to IN to get to CA if it originated from AK...or it shouldnt at least...more time/gas = more money

the interesting thing is that the IN times are off by a few minutes...while our initial flight to AK is exactly the same at 1:39. Maybe the Status scan is just electronic info?

edit: hm isnoop does not show my package leaving AK...it just suddenly shows Status Scan at IN. as i read more of people's results from isnoop, i'm getting more skeptical.

I have always had very reliable service from FedEx. So unfortunately that means I expect my MBP to get here on Nov. 1 sometime before noon. :(

Hey I've never seen isnoop before - how are they getting that extra info from fedex.com?

It would seem odd that some site would have data posted that is not shown on the real site. I see two possible things to start that could cause this:

1) the FedEx site is somehow delayed or updated in batches - we have seen some things post there qutie a bit after when the action happened

2) the code for iSnoop is misinterpreting the string it gets back from FedEx and adding that last item on it's own - it is some other stamp for file or processing time of data or something that is being read as a scan by mistake by iSnoop

I could see either... but I also wouldn't put it beyond FedEx to sort everything in IN. We don't know (where's that FedEx manager Mac owner?) but I could see that the location in AK isn't setup to sort like the largest or most main hubs - AK could just be a smaller location that stuff passes through when necessary. Anyway...

I'm probably going to crash soon so I'm sure we'll know more tomorrow AM. Good night and good luck!

isnoop and simpletracking both report my MBP in Indianapolis at 1:28 am. Which is odd; isn't Indianapolis on Central time? So it's 1:40 there now? But this info was up about 2 hours ago. And the FedEx site still just says "departed Anchorage".

BTW, mine is going to Hanover, NH. Current ETA is Nov. 2. Expedited delivery.

Ok, so the Los Angeles, CA ones go through Indianapolis - I just put an old tracking number for my wife's MacBook into iSnoop and got the below output. FedEx just shows "delivered" with that package now (no historical info):

05/22/06 01:33 pm Delivered West Hollywood, CA
05/22/06 08:43 am On Fedex Vehicle For Delivery Los Angeles, CA
05/22/06 07:28 am Arrived At Fedex Destination Location Los Angeles, CA
05/22/06 03:52 am Left Fedex Sort Facility Los Angeles, CA
05/20/06 05:23 am Arrived At Sort Facility Los Angeles, CA
05/20/06 04:19 am Left Fedex Sort Facility Indianapolis, IN
05/20/06 02:15 am Status Scan Indianapolis, IN
05/19/06 11:57 pm Arrived At Sort Facility Indianapolis, IN
05/19/06 02:22 pm Left Fedex Sort Facility Anchorage, AK
05/19/06 01:13 pm Arrived At Sort Facility Anchorage, AK
05/19/06 09:43 pm Left Fedex Ramp Shanghai
05/18/06 10:07 pm Left Fedex Origin Location Suzhou
05/18/06 04:06 pm Pickup Status Suzhou

This also shows that FedEx in Los Angeles sat on the machine for two days - that package was with expedited shipping (I wasn't sitting on top of FedEx when it wasn't my machine I guess).

Ok, NOW going to sleep. 'Nite.

(Duplicate post from the other thread - I'm sorry)

Well, like every other obsessed buyer, I'm watching mine like a hawk. As of 6:09am, it is now shown in the major city in my area. The delivery suburb spot is approx.20-30 minutes north of the city. Think I'm getting it today, despite the 11-2 estimation?

My MBP shows leaving Indiana at 4:20am and ariving in Phoenix at 5:34am. It only looks like it took an hour because it is local times. At least that is what I think.:D

My MBP is currently in the destination city sorting facility!!!! Should be here today, just as predicted since it was in China.
You guys seem to be doubting this isnoop. But top me it seems more accurate than the FedEx tracking service itself. FedEx shows mine leaving from memphios and then being in my city while isnoop reports the steps in between and the arrival at the same location, its great.
