ARGH! Stupid iTunes!

    Twice now iTunes has crashed on me, and refused to quit, even when I tried to Force Quit several times. When I tried to restart, the computer gets all slow and weird, and refuses to log out because of iTunes. And when I tried to go into the Force Quit dialog again, it froze up on me. I'm actually typing this right under the Force Quit dialog. Everything else works, except iTunes, and I can't get out because of it.

    What did I do both times? Click a iTunes link on Safari. Both times iTunes was already running.

    Pathetic. </rant>

    The most recent iTunes has been nothing but bugs for me, crashes left and right. For me, about 70% of the time, opening iTunes and double-clicking a song will make it do nothing, then if I try and start it again or quit or anything, it hangs and screws with the rest of the system. Like you, my system is sluggish even after a restart. I hope Apple fixes this, seriously...

    Just for the record, unplugging the iPod did the trick. My machine's fine again.

    Agreed, Apple really should fix the bugs...

    I should've mentioned it above, but I'm using iTunes 4.9.
