So I went on my Mom's MacBook Pro for the first time in forever and of course there are PowerPC processes running that I can't track down.

    What are these??

    From This Site :

To answer Dwight Knoll's query about root threads for OpenBase: this is normal if you have StickyBrain, which uses OpenBase as its back-end database. There may be other applications which also use OpenBase. On my laptop (Mac OS X 10.4.5 with StickyBrain 3.6.0, which is a little out of date) I have processes for OpenBase, openexec, openinfo and openmonitor, all owned by root.

Judging by the first hit in a quick Google search they belong to a running OpenBase SQL program, don't know much about Macs though so could be wrong.
