Army Repair Posts Scramble To Keep the Troops Equipped

    clearly, this whole process is broken. rumsfeld is a bush loyalist and that seems to trump his lack of competence.

    according to cost of war, the iraq bill is nearing $150 billion. add the $100 billion additional request, and that's $250 billion by the end of 2005. i wonder how much this thing will cost before it's all said and done.

    While I have to agree that erasing the identity marks was perhaps not the best way to deal with the aftermath, I think that in the light of equipment shortages and bureaucratic hassles, that these reservists should be commended for taking the iniative to get the job done. Didn't we want a flexible, ingenious fighting force?

    I have to agree that something must be broken in the system, especialy with regards to reservists, if they are forced to make choices like this.
