assistive touch on jailbroken iphone 3g?

    hi.

    the 'home button' on my iphone 3 is completely none responsive..
    i know that assistive touch is not available officially on iphone 3, if i jailbreak it, is there someway around this?

    You could install a tweak called activator through jailbreaking and set a swipe/gesture as the home button instead. I set mine so that when I pressed the status bar, it would activate the home button. Options are endless, you could set the volume button as the home button, etc..

    do i just download cydia and then find this activator thing?

    i am FULLY ignorant of these things...

    do i just do a google search for that once ive jailbroken my phone?

    Although I'm not sure how you're gonna jailbreak it since you'll need to put it in to DFU mode which needs the home button.

    That's very true but I just about managed it by taking the screen off and using some tinfoil across the home button contacts. But with the whole process that was required u have to have some flexible fingers to pull it off!
