    Why are the first things they're buying to rebuild the nation weapons for knocking it down (assuming that's what is actually happening)? I realize that protection is needed, but it seems that even our heavily armored and highly trained army is unable to do the job. Why would an Iraqi force thrown together haphazardly be any more succesful? And what's more, I'd rather have running water than tanks on the street in front of my house. I think we're coming at this problem bass-ackwards.

    But more seriously, I say "we" because my government is doing these things in my name. I don't approve, but can't help feeling responsible.
