For all of us who are either too cheap or have someother excuse for not coughing-up the $34 (or whatever it is) for an official MacRumors mug and a Demi-god status, it is time for us to unite and create our own "secret" society...

    any takers?????

it's funny that you're trying to use this against the dgvpg folks... since, after all, we're just trying to get more people to pay up.

thus, even if you do so in the name of being against us or whatever, that's cool. cause we just want arn to get more support.

so by all means, start it up

and what do the members of it "secrete" exactly? some sort of fluid or what?

Just pony up the money, it's no big deal, you want to, believe me. You should see the rumors and discussions and stuff that's in the private area. Unbelievable. It's going to take me a month to get through all this stuff. Unbelievable!!!! You have no idea the knowledge and rumors and stuff that doesn't get posted on the main page. You really, really should just buy the mug.

I completely agree with supporting the site, and I will ... but I'm feelin' a little left out now I guess, or something. The lil' guys need a voice too...

Rower_CPU - good point. we can't really hide.

I'm sure with in about an hour or 2, this will be crused anyway. You guys are like the Roman Empire and well we're kinda like croatian pesants or something.

kros, don't think we're going to forget. You mentioned you had a thing or two to do and then you were going to add your support. you made a promise, don't back down - you know how messed up some of these guys can get. I'd also advice restating your position before things get out of hand ;)

Seriously, we are not trying to make you guys feel like your not part of the community here, we all are, your just not part of the private forums, and we would like all of you to be. For more reason than one. So, that being said. Just save some cash, spend it on a mug, and join us in the promise land.

I think that in itself speaks volumes. The purpose of the DGVPG is to pique your curiosity, to make you want to find out what it's all about. It's obviously working :p

Most of the conversation goes on here, in the community discussion, but certain things are reserved for those who've supported the site. (like a sneak peak at rumours before they're made 'public'). No one is trying to exclude anyone from anything here. It's your choice whether to pony it up or not (i'm starting to love that expression :D).

    You know you want to.

Yea, no time like the present. Ask some of the others with under 500, much less 5000 posts. They can tell you it is worth it.

Well, i fought the "in-crowd" in high school, so i'll do it here too :)

i might buy a mug when i reach 500, tho at my current rate that'll be 2010 i think... it's not that i don't want to support the site, it's just that $35 is a lot of money for us right now... we're poor :)

if donors get their own private forum, i think we non-donors should definitely start a secrete society... although what i'll secrete, i dunno...

Oh boy! Is it getting hot in here? :D

Honestly, flirting online. Whatever would your bf say? ;)

It could be fun to take up the challenge, but rather difficult to not offend someone....

    Interesting

I look forward to one day being part of the demi-Gods here.
If I dont get booted off the board soon, my post are sure to be noticed as strange and good reason to boot.

Yet, I think that the 500 mark is a good time to join since you get the avatar.
Hard to be a Demi-God without a face.

    That being said.
If everyone paid up and moved to the secret ward, who would be the little people.
There has to be a down, for there to be an up.

As for starting a group outside the Demi-Gods.
Here is the way it would work.
An alternative method of communication would be established tween members.
This being the internet, the options for this are high.
ICQ has a method of creating chat rooms for multiple users.
Strategy canbe discussed there or where ever and then acted out on the MacRumors board.
This isnt a difficult thing to accomplish. Finding members that will unite is the hard part, i think.
I mean why bother? Because the Demi-Gods have been making plans to manipulate the masses for the benefit of the health of the board.

Well, isnt that what Demi-Gods do.
I fail to see a reason for uproar. Its all in a days work for a Demi-God.
I am happy to see activity by them.
I would be more worried if there wasnt anything going on.

Of course I am VERY curious about what was alluded to, by Mcrain and Britboy.
Extra spicy rumors? Or maybe information that is given to ARN by APPLE that he cant give out on the main board. Or even more devious things?

This gives a whole new meaning to the posts of a Demi-God.

    INteresting!
