ATV random copying of files when syncing

I have an ATV streaming stuff from a itunes library on Time Capsule. I just wanted to know why on regular occasions when it syncs it decides to copy random tv shows and music over to the ATV? These aren't tv shows and music i've just added to the library either. ATV isn't at capacity but my itunes library far exceeds the ATV's storage, so why all this random madness?!

What's your Apple TV settings for Movies and TV Shows in iTunes? Sounds like you probably have it set to sync unwatched items or something..

I'm having a similar issue.

My AppleTV is set to copy over unwatched episodes of certain TV shows. But sometimes, it will copy over an episode within a selected TV show that is clearly marked as "not new" for no particular reason.

It's very strange.

p.s. I wish iTunes had a selection to copy over ALL HD TV shows from selected series. That would be convenient. I can't stream those without loosing frame rate.
