I have been having this issue for as long as I can remember. I'm currently running El Captan, but it seems to not work in any versions of OS X including the supported OS X Lion. The front headphone jack works but there is a buzzing electric sound during heavy workload. Strangely enough, the rear audio jack works in not OS X, but Windows. When I have Windows 10 booted with bootcamp, it works. I don't know why. Could there be a driver issue?
