I have an .mp4 video that will not play audio. It says it is 'ms' in the QT properties

is there a new codec for this? I've never experienced problems w/ mp4's in the past.

    thanks

As a general rule, I just use VLC (http://www.videolan.org/vlc) to play any file that doesn't work quite right in other players. If it doesn't work there, the only other option I've found is Media Player Classic, but that's a Windows program, so it's my absolute last resort.

No dice with VLC but it does omit a poop from the speakers when I open it.
I'd like to edit this file in iMovie and output to dvd if I can get it working.

    Got it!

For those who need to know: Run the QT file in DIVX Doctor and it will output an .ac3 file which you open in mAC3dec to convert to .mp3. Now open the original .avi and delete the soundtrack and replace it with the new .mp3.

    We have Audio!
