My family had one of those bondi blue iMacs. It was a great machine.

The release of the still-very-pretty iMac was the moment that made me reconsider Mac's as nothing more than "some crappy computer that my friend's mum down the road owned that could only play Theme Park".

    Still, I didn't buy one until 2006 :p

I bought one of the RevB's in December '98, that machine is still in use today with a guy who has his own printing shop, great little machine, gave it a couple upgrades, with a 60 HDD, 320 mb ram, and a scsi card with a cdrw burner, and the little bugger is still going hard on a daily basis!

Irony. Just finished downloading the complete keynotes and decided to watch "Back on Track" from May 6th 1998. That's the launch of the iMac G3.

Before the iMac, Steve had already managed to turn several aspects around. The iMac was what steadied the ship, (without it Apple turnaround may have been little more than a blip).
