On my windows computer i recently reformated it, i put all my music on my ipod, but now that i have gotten it back onto my hdd when i try to play the songs in itunes or update my ipod it says it not authorized, is there anything i can do to fix this?

enter in the info you used when you bought the music -- your email and password for iTunes.

you probably should have deauthorized the computer before reformatting it...im not exactly sure how the authorization works but it sounds like you've lost one of your authorizations.

i didnt buy it from itunes, its almost all rips from my and my friends cds so its not from itunes

ok something happened and it got deleted off my ipod. but i have the music on my computer, how can i authorize my self to play it?

OK, that is really weird. It should only ask for authorisation if it's been bought from iTMS. Try reinstalling iTunes.
