    Hey I do not know if this is the right forum, but I am trying to set make a plugin for ical that will run a shell script to delete a file whenever i add the event to the calendar. However I havent successfully made this script to delete the file. i am new to this and have searched the web, but everything i try doesnt work. this is the latest ive tried putting in the "run shell script" box: "rm -R/Library/Preferences/a file" (with a file being the said file i want to delete)

    any help is appreciated!

    In Automator:

    1. Get specified Finder Items
    2. Move Finder Items to Trash

    Then, Save As Plug-In->iCal alarm
