I just pulled an old PowerMac G3 out of out stock and tried to turn it on. It was working just fine before and it had been used consistently for the past several years.

I turn it on and it lights up. There's no "Boooong" and all. The hard drive and ZIP drive spin up. All of the motherboard lights are green. It just sits there powered on and doing nothing.

I think I might have shocked it though. I did here some crackling. It's rather dry in here and a charge builds up easily. I have to discharge myself very often.

    Fixed!

It turns out I have too many VGA cables around here. I kept in plugging in my PowerMac into a cable that wasn't plugged into any monitor.
