Is it possible to set up a network where wireless and wired computers can access each other and the internet at the same time?

heres a diagram of the our current network:

The basestation is connected to the router from its WAN port. Distribute IP addresses is unchecked in the Airport Admin Utility. TCP/IP is configured using DHCP. The internet works fine on all computers but the problem occurs when the airport network cable is plugged into the router, basically everything stops working and has to be rebooted.

Any ideas?

try using the LAN port [on the base station] (see Apple's "Designing Airport Extreme_Networks" document). I'm using the WAN, but I have a static IP set for the base.
