I was just using my MBP just like any normal way, with 43% battery charged. Then all of a sudden it died, and when I powered up again, it tried to revive, then power off.

Checked the battery status bottom of the MBP and it had 1 light on, and 1 flashing.

Plugged in my magsafe, and started up fine, and now its charging the battery. But as soon as I unplug the magsafe, the MBP powers off after 0.5 of a second.

Has anyone heard of this before?? I just had this MBP for two weeks!

    was MIAMI
#2 i have a mbp, never happened before. I would guess there is a problem with the battery connectors. You say it works fine with the power in, sooo, that's my best guess, maybe remove the batt. and see, maybe theres dust blow on it a little and put it back in

Re-seat the battery, reset the PMU. Still doesn't work? Probably a bad battery.

Re-seating the battery means taking it completely out of the MBP and putting it back in, making sure it goes in smoothy and completely.

Resetting the PRAM is done by taking these steps:

If you're interested in more information about the PRAM and power management unit, check this link.

Having had a similar issue with an ibook, I'd say the battery is probably bad. If these two steps don't solve it, take the battery in to apple.

    no luck so far..

Disconnecting the AC Adapter means unplugging the MagSafe?

Did you have to pay for a battery replacement?
