Does your battery life improve? Mine did since I was using gmail and had push on.
6.1.2 has been out only a few hours. How could you know if there's any significant battery improvement already?
Mine improved tremendously since upgrading to iOS 8.
Not only is battery better, Safari is snappier.
How do you have Gmail setup on your phone? I've set it up on mine but only seem to be able to get fetch and not push and it's driving me nuts!
Because I was using the mall app and I had it on push through exchange before January before Microsoft stopped supporting active sync
yup mines seems to be lasting 50% more than what it did before. its amazing.
Push through exchange still works for me.
Battery life still terrible:-
I'm on Smartone in HK (LTE). Usage is nothing special, just email, bit of Whatsapp and Facebook and a little bit of music.
ActiveSync is Microsoft's current product. They haven't stopped supporting it.
Presume it relates to this: http://www.theverge.com/2012/12/14/...-sync-exchange-support-for-gmail-calendar-and http://googleblog.blogspot.hk/2012/12/winter-cleaning.html
It says that new devices can't be set up after Jan 30, 2013, but like I said ... mine still works.
That is really bad battery life. Is your screen brightness at 100%? I've never had less than 6 hours of usage (and full day of stand-by) out of my iP5.
Hi. In my iPod 5g i been seeing an improvement since the release of iOS 6.1
Now, i am making an strong use of wifi.
A day later mine's on 45% with 5 hours of usage. No different really..
I would say mine's about the same.. I haven't had bad battery life since I got my 5.
No difference still get all day usage
I have 3 email accounts using Microsoft Exchange and I've definitely seen a massive improvement since 6.1.2 (back to pre-6.1 standards). I'm very pleased.
I have noticed since the upgrade that the percentage stayed at 100% for a longer time and seems to be keeping higher percentage numbers than I normally see with my usage.
Whether that is just a software placebo effect I can't say until more time has passed.
If I do not use Exchange should I update to 6.1.2?
1st day after update. Seems to be better for me. I would be around 55-60% with this usage on 6.1.
Definitely fixed the exchange battery life I started having with 6.1
