Okay I'm thinking of getting BF 1942 to play on my iMac G5. Looking at the specs, it would seem that it would be a good game to play on the iMac G5. I am interested in multiplayer action. I have played the COD demo and it was really good on my iMac G5. I heard BF 1942 was awesome. I really don't want to buy it if the performance is going to be crappy.

Judging by the specs it should work fine

mind you I don't have either BF 1942 or an iMac G5 so I can't really say :(

BF1942 sure seems very CPU intensive because of the number of bots or human players you'll be playing with. So, I do think it may be able to run. Your graphics might not be spectacular with the GeForceFX5200, but I think it's not too far off to think it'll be playable.

Try the single player demo first. Get it at MacGameFiles.com.

I wouldn't get to excited. It played awful on a Dual 1.8. I would hate to see the outcome on a iMac. Just remember, this is due to poor coding. This game still plays high detail on everything on my 2Ghz P4.
