What is everyones suggestions before doing a clean reinstall of Mountain Lion?

I mean, I'll put my music on my external etc. But what else would you recommend doing?

Should I deactivate the computer from iTunes?

    Here's what I did:

    - Backup iPhoto/iTunes/Mail and other documents to external storage
    - Deactivate my iTunes store account
    - Open keychain access and ensure I copy all the passwords I've stored over the years
    - A screenshot of whats in my applications folder so I can redownload from the app store later

Instead of a list, clone the whole drive. You won't miss a thing. Use SuperDuper or CCC.
