I have this one:

http://www.newtrent.com/IMP500-3G-3Gs-iPhone-iTouch-external-battery-p/imp500p.htm

Which is strong enough to charge more than just my phone. I did notice they have 2 new models:

http://www.newtrent.com/IMP880P-IPhone-External-battery-p/imp880p.htm
http://www.newtrent.com/IMP880-IPhone-External-battery-p/imp880.htm

that have even MORE power then the one I already have. They have fast shipping and the device works as expected.

I also bought the IMP500, and I'm very pleased with it--even charges the iPad, though as with charging that device from a computer USB, it won't appear to actually charge with the screen on. I've tested it with the screen off and it's fine.

With the iPhone 4, it's just amazing. Mine goes up about 10% every 8 minutes or so.

UPDATE

I've tested the Mophie Juice Pack Reserve and have found these results:

Charging my iPhone 4 took about 30 mins to complete. Giving the phone a 40% power boost.

Recharging the Mophie from completely drained to full took 1.5-2 hrs to complete.

I hope this helps anyone looking for a backup battery for their iPhone. I'm gonna stick with this one for now. :D :apple:

Does this fit when there is a case on the iPhone? I tried the Kensington Mini Battery Extender and Charger. Loved the compact size. Had to take case on in order to charge the iPhone.

After dropping my iPhone 4 with only a bumper on it and shattering my front screen (which I luckily found a place that could replace it), I've switched to an Otterbox Defender case. The Mophie will not work with this case, the opening is too small to accommodate it. So just a warning to anyone. Check to make sure it'll work with the case you have before buying it. I just now keep a charging cable on me at all times.

Does any one knows if the PowerGen is any good? It looks more compact than the satechi.

I was also cheking out the New Trent, but looks a bit bulky:

I wish these batteries had measurements in the description.

Best charger/backup batteries for iPhone 4

What do you guys think about this extra battery thing:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/120850059374?_trksid=p5197.c0.m619#ht_2444wt_1010

It has a great capacity (1900mAh), I'm just wondering is it safe enough to use? I wouldn't want to mess up my iPhone 4s with it. Could come in handy, as the capacity of the phone is 1440mAh so it adds quite a lot. What do you guys think? Has anyone tested it? Any review online?

Thanks

EDIT: did not realize this thread was so old. My bad.

I would recommend a battery pack that is branded like Anker and Ravpower.
For a full charge I recommend:
