At this point a used Apple TV (gen 3) seems like a cheaper option then the official cable from Apple. Is there another option I don't know about?

any pro's/cons to both methods above?

You could try a used adapter from eBay, but the Apple TV works great. I travel a lot and use the ATV (3rd gen) as a hub so I can stream Netflix and stuff right the the hotel TV. You can get them pretty cheap online refurbished,

Hi, do you know if it is possible to mirror your iPad to the fire tv stick directly without a wifi connection?

Interested in using it in the classroom. Thanks.
