We already know that MacBook and MacBook Pro are the only laptops that exist.

It's funny to look back - I survived polytech on an 800 MHz iBook with Virtual PC, but give me that now and I'd get immensely frustrated!

Try this: iBook 500 mhz running mac os x public beta running office in classic...that was my freshman year..i brought my ibook to geology class and the girl sitting next to me was looking on with me at a word document...it wasn't a great mac advertisement that it took two minutes to scroll one page down :D

edit: my memory grows hazy..for accuracy sake it may have been mac os x 10.0...either way it was super slow

Waiariki. They're actually calling themselves an Institute of Technology now, but it's quicker to type "polytech" :)

The main campus is in Rotorua, but there's a smaller one here too (and in a few other nearby towns).

Maybe we should stop hijacking the thread :D

That whole article is exactly what i thought, pretty much word for word. It's right on. There's so many people here at college that have macbooks, the "Macbook" is really taking off among young people. Everyone knows about macs and most people think they're cool, a few years ago, most people didnt know what they were. Apple is making steps in the right direction! Way to Go!

Remembering my college years, I'd amend the advice to a Macbook and a game console of some sort. Or get a 15" probook. The macbook is fairly useless for gaming, even with bootcamp.
