Nice work, zim. You should be in the top 20 in about 2 months.

The team is definitely on an upswing, too - we've been over 40k for the last 3 days in a row, and our 24-hour average should climb over that mark for the first time in a while.

Good job everyone out there cranking out the WUs. :)

So just out of curiosity, how close to the top am i going to get with just 2 computers? I've got my dual 1.8 folding 24x7, and a 3.0e P4 folding 24x7. My team rank is 414 right now, and it seems progression is slowing dramatically. I thought i heard someone say that a dual 2.0 would punch out ~700 points a day... but my average with both of these computers is only around 300pts a day. My username is glencox

EDIT: and yes.. both are running two consoles... the CPU's on both computers are maxed out.

There are a lot of factors that can come into play for determining the amount of points a given machine can produce. If there is a lot of other activity going on (games, editing video, etc.) it will take time away from Folding. I also think that 700/day estimate was a bit generous.

Looks like you'll be in the top 300 in a little more than a week, the top 200 in a little over 3 weeks, and the top 100 in about 2.5 months - you're moving along well. :)

The dual G5 does not doe 700 a day, but more like 200-225. I have almost the same setup like you, and am around the 40th place of our team. Still have a lot of people to overtake. Can get to around the 25th place.

Edit: just looked at the stats pages, it takes about 8500 days before you overtake me. So, bring it on! :p

Uh oh... it's down to 392 days right now... :) Still a long ways off but my daily average isn't stable yet... should keep going up for a little bit... Still might take until late next Spring but... :)

You best add some more CPU's!

Hmmmm... I wonder if I can add more CPU's at work since I have control over all the computers in the department... ;)

    Back in the Top 100

    Two milestones for me:
    1) Back in the top 100
    2) Hit 20,000 points

All of this thanks to some recruiting I have done. I cant wait until I can sit back and watch a G5 crank. My main comp, a 466 G4, is the weak link right now.

Did you add more CPU's or what? You've got quite the peak there yesterday... coulda just been a time when you turned them all in but... man... I thought my 598 peak was pretty good.

I was going to set a new high of 650+ points in one day, but that little goal got ruined by some forced downtime of my iMac (had to reinstall the OS). 478 points in one day isn't shabby, but I've done better in the past.
