Just after the Christmas shopping period, B&H Photo is offering impressive deals on the new 15-inch MacBook Pro with Touch Bar. B&H is offering $200 off with a free copy of Parallels 12, which is worth $79.95.

No tax outside of NY.

Still....waaaay to expensive.

Get that 15" to $2k and we'll talk. The touchbar 13" should be $1299.
[doublepost=1482808770][/doublepost]Best selling ones online ever BECAUSE YOU COULDNT BUY THEM IN STORE!!!

I wouldn't think they would be discounting them if they were the best selling Macbook Pro models yet.

I get about the same price from Apple with my work discount plan. I don't think these are worth the cost. I picked up the 13" non TB for $1299 at MicroCenter a few weeks ago. Seemed about fair for what I got, I would not have paid $1499 for it. There's no excuse for pricing this hardware over $2000. $1999 RETAIL should be the 15" but then that would throw the rest of the lineup off of their pricing scheme.

Just bought the 2015 with a $440 discount. Wouldn't have bought 2016 at the same price.

You wouldn't have bought the 2016 MBP at the price of the 2015 MBP plus $400 dollars more off?
Where does MacRumors keep you guys? Lol.

There's always been a premium price for Apple laptops that I've been willing to pay because of the quality of the product, excellent support etc. However, these new MacBook Pros are irrationally overpriced. These are computers not Bentleys.

A new release usually commands strong sales due to pent up demand -- and the holidays certainly help. I expect sales to fall dramatically soon -- especially after CES in January when new competitor models make these MacBook Pros look like even less of a good value.

I'll stick with my rMPB 2012 until Apple creates an actual "Pro" laptop.
"Pro" laptops need:
- A battery that last more than 3 hour when doing actual work.
- Magsafe for obvious reasons.
- An option for Nvidia GPUs since some of use use CUDA for our jobs.
- Traditional USB and HDMI ports, or include the damn dongles for free.

For some reason Tim changed the meaning of "Pro" from "work horse" to "fashion".

If the sales at the margin the bean counters demand is not there, they WILL kill the whole Mac line. That is just how they operate. Just watch the new iMacs not appear if the Macbook "Pro" margins do not hold. They undoubtedly have planned similar price hikes for the iMacs.

Remember: Apple will continue to get further and further behind as the company is being harvested by Wall Street for short term profits and stock price. Getting out of the Mac business, raising prices to absurd levels, stopping development of airport express and monitors, falling behind on iPhone features, QC problems, as well as massive stock buybacks point directly to the bean counters having taken over the company.

We have all seen this with so many tech companies. It seems to be Apple's turn

Loyalty has its limits. Mine have been reached. 2012 Mac Pro, 2015 MacBook Pro. The last pro computers from Apple that made any sense.
