i just lucked into a bicycle, and i just noticed that all i have are messenger bags, does anyone know of a good, yet cheap, bag i can wear on my back with my laptop in it?

i hear good things about crumpler bags, but remember, i said cheap!

    thanks folks.

best bags ever. handmade custom color choices (down to the thread color). incredibly durable, and has a nice little inner sleeve that fits a laptop (12" ibook or 15" pb) perfectly.

i think they make them both larger and smaller than this.

I doubt you'll find anything good that's cheap. Anyway, I recommend Timbuk2 bags. I've bought two and they're great.

I second the Timbuk2 bag. You can get them about $20 - $30 cheaper if you look on eBay - go for the Commute, it's got a laptop case. Really a great bag, I've had one for years now.
