Blank DVD's recommendations?

"That's" is a Taiyo Yuden brand name (they used it with audio cassettes too - anyone remember them?), so it may well be that the "That's Write" DVDs are TY-made.

I recently tried to burn a bunch of "broadcasts" I made in college (broadcast journalism class) to DVD to give out to my old college pals. We had some decent stuff and the outtakes are the part we remember most, but it was shot on a miniDV and saved as low-res.

However, iDVD won't let me burn on Memorex DVD+R. It tells me I need DVD-R. Not sure what it means, but I guess I'll look for that label when I buy more. I'm just pissed that I slapped down $10 and have more coasters for the computer desk.

Anybody else have this problem?
