    Hello Everyone,

I am in the process of trying to install XP on my new Macbook (i'm on my family's desktop at the moment). I followed the instructions to a key. I used a full version on XP with SP2. I partitioned the disk and it went through the whole process of formatting the partition and what not. It then went to the actual windows installation. When it was finished it restarted.

This would be great, except when it restarts i plays the apple chime, and then goes directly to a black screen, and does nothing else. I have turned the computer off and on a few times, trying to hold down ctrl, but to on avail. If anyone knows what to do I would greatly appreciate it as my macbook is now virtually useless.

I hope you backed up your data before you did boot camp.

Try standing on you head and while hula-hooping.
Then try booting from the install CD and repair the disk and permissions.

I said, "boot from the install CD".
If it wont boot from that, there must be a hardware problem.

Oh yeah, I hope there isn't a CD already in the CD slot.

    Ah.
    OK....
Try restarting while holding down the mouse button.
That should make the CD pop out.
    Hopefully.

You restart while holding down the "C" key.
That is if you can get the CD into the computer.

You could try sticking it in there while it's booting up, maybe it'll take it....
