I see lots of people having these. Huge bleamishes on their Powerbook/iBook LCDs that I can only really discribe as bleach stains. Like the color or hue saturation or something is messed up. it's totally randomed, scattered all over the screen.

I care, because this morning i noticed i have my own such bleach stain. only 1mm across at this point. but i feel like someone who's totally fine and healthy, has just been diagnosed with the LCD equivalent of parkinson's.

    hardy har har.

has no one else seen this? i see older ibooks and powerbooks afflicated with this everyday in the library and starbucks. most of them are really bad - like half the screen.

i almost get the impression that the LCD screen - i mean the actually fiber screen, the film-like thing - is somehow damaged. i don't see any other signs of physical damage - no cracks or dents on the display shell.

i can't figure this out, and i'm seriously concerned because the last thing i need before trying to sell this things is a messed up display.

What models are you seeing this on? It surely can't be all powerbook/ibook models...?

i've seen it on the powerbook like that article says, but i now i've seen it almost just as much on ibooks as well. didn't pay much attention to screen size or model, just got the impression that the were definitely machines with a couple years on them.... but who knows. all i can is that they were ibooks.

Ew, I seriously don't hope it does that on my iBook, it needs to hold at least another year. Anyway, seeing as the program was started in late 2004, it's probably only older models...
