My situation: I've got a 2008 unibody macbook with a broken screen (perfect working order, works fine hooked up to an external display). It has a 1TB internal HDD. I've got a new rMBP on the way, with a 128GB ssd. I want to set up my blind macbook as a media library, which houses all of my music, photos, videos and documents. I want to be able to access these quickly and seemlessly over my home wireless network, from my rMBP via iPhoto, iTunes etc - without having to store anything on the rMBP's SSD. I also want to be able to have my Sonos system's library located on the blind macbook. My blind macbook has all of my media on it already, running Mountain Lion. What is the best way to set this up? Cheers.
