Blocking Flash adverts

    Getting really narked off with the lates film/tv/DVD release being advertised as a short Flash movie clip on web sites, paticually Yahoo, is there any software i can download for Mac or PC that will let me block such adverts?

    The FlashBlock extension for Firefox works quite well. It lets you whitelist sites too - so if you want YouTube videos to play, for example, you can say "allow Flash from this site".

    My old iMac gets brought out of drydock when my PC has "a funny turn", normally every 6months or so.

    Always works, but slow as an asphalt layer.

    flashblock, or adblock extensions for firefox

    i have adblock, which is fantastic, easy to use nice and quick.
