Blotchy patch on screen

Something like this happened a year ago on my screen and it was repaired under applecare. But now its happened again, I'm wanting to know what is it caused by? I recently sent my macbook back since the fan started making clicking noises and now I've noticed this.

My applecare expires late Dec and I don't wana be the guy who keeps returning stuff due to minor faults. Do you guys think apple would repair it again? I literally cannot think of anything that could be due to my usage as I've never dropped/bumped it at all, it's been looked after since I bought it (late 2013).

You have AC so I would take it back again and see what they can do. Ultimately you pay for AC to cover for any problems you device may have.

Do you know what this thing is? Coukd it just be defective screens in late 2013 models if its happened in under a year?

Looks to me like minor screen damage, probably caused by pressure in that area, maybe even something that fell against the screen. Not hard enough to actually crack the LCD panel, but leaves a permanent mark, like a bruise.

And, you have to take to Apple to see what they can do. As you already have a similar repair, covered under AC, Apple may fix again.
