You have AC so I would take it back again and see what they can do. Ultimately you pay for AC to cover for any problems you device may have.

Do you know what this thing is? Coukd it just be defective screens in late 2013 models if its happened in under a year?

I just dont want to be seen as a mental case repeatedly going back to apple."

Looks to me like minor screen damage, probably caused by pressure in that area, maybe even something that fell against the screen. Not hard enough to actually crack the LCD panel, but leaves a permanent mark, like a bruise.

And, you have to take to Apple to see what they can do. As you already have a similar repair, covered under AC, Apple may fix again.
