I got my mac pro 2 weeks ago and to get the lowest price, didn't get the bluetooth option installed. I found out I could take it to the apple store and get it installed for around 60 bucks. Is it really worth it? I will be using wired mouse and keyboard...

I wouldn't bother unless you think you'd be using it on a daily basis. If not, buy the little USB bluetooth dongle and plug it in when you need it.

I don't imagine they'll be significantly more BT kit available in the future than there is now. I guess iPods might go BT at some point (although I think that would be annoying) and if Apple release a phone it'll probably sync by BT, but if you're not using BT peripherals now you're probably fine.

They'll be able to do the install at least as long as the current form factor exists, and probably after that as well. That said, it certainly won't hurt to have it installed if it will give you future-proof peace of mind.
