Title says it all...

Do you know any SATA II PCI-X card bootable under OS X?

There is only one real company that makes SATA cards for Mac and thats FirmTek. I explained this to you before. That means that whatever they have is what your options are.

Sonnet sells SATA cards also but they are simply FirmTek cards with a purple PCB. Exactly the same otherwise. Same drivers and firmware updates even.

So for all your future SATA questions and concerns just reference this site: http://www.firmtek.com/

Any non-100% Mac capable card will give you data corruption if it works at all.

Is there a firmware update for these cards? I know for the 1v4 there is, but not too sure on the 1s2.
originally this had 5.*.* something firmware before i dropped it down when i had my MDD. Seritek doesn't show updates for these cards, so i am asking.

The firmware you have is the one they recommend for G4 towers running 10.4 or 10.5. It obviously works in your G5 so if it isn't broke don't fix it.

If you do have issues ever then email their tech support which is very good and prompt also. As long as it works though there is no need for updating.
