I am replacing my current HD with an SSD. The new SSD will just be El Capitan.

The old HD is a dual boot El Capitan and Windows 10 (bootcamp) and I wonder could I just put that old drive in an external and use it not only as a way of keeping the original mac data, but perhaps also use it as a bootable source to windows 10 (when I need Windows).

Call me *lazy, but it seems like an easier solution than reloading a windows copy onto the new SSD (which I would really like to keep all the space for mac OSX.

*Also I am aware that I could just add the SSD as a second drive but the cost of an adapter kit and the hassle of putting in the second drive is just not worth it to me, and too less things to break in this tiny mini. Easier to just pull the old one and swap the new one in.

Your thoughts and suggestions are appreciated.
