Bootcamp partition not working after El Capitan update

Please help.
After El capitan update my bootcamp (windows 8.1) partition is still there but is greyed out and I cannot start it.
Is there another way?
Im aware of the restart and alt/option but I will still need the automatic option as this method switches by default on OS X everytime windows is restarted
