    The latest on my quest for a cheap (aka free) hard-drive based video server dealio thing for our local access station:

    I found a perfect program here.

    OK, it's not perfect. It costs way too much, and it requires an MPEG-2 card.

    Your mission (should you choose to accept it) is to help me find a similar program (under $100, we're beyond on a low budget) that doesn't require an MPEG-2 card. Any ideas? HELP!!!!! :eek:

    EDIT: THIS program is perfect... except for the price.

    Not sure what the goal is, have you considered bunging something together with QuickTime and AppleScript?

    Hmmm... Hmmm... HMMMM... I like it, but the only problem is, I don't know AppleScript.

    The goal is to use a computer to run our programming, instead of using old SVHS tapes.
