I have Toast 5.1.4 (5.2 is not working) and it will not let me burn .avi files into VCD format:mad:.
I read the help menu, but there is no info about .avi files......HELP

yah dude VCD's can only play mpeg.. and DVD's can only play mpeg2... you're gonna have to convert them to .mov with DiVxDoctor or something, then convert them to mpg with Quicktime (Pro).

    I'll do that...thanx!!!
Another question, When I was reading the help file about VCD's...it stated that it takes 10 mins to encode 1 min of the movie that you are trying to burn!!! This is true..... because on my PC, it takes forever to burn VCD's..... so my question is: is there any software that is faster??

I have both Roxio and Nero for the PC.

I'm not sure for PCs, but on OS X (and OS 9 for that matter...) Toast is one of the only, and the best, CD/DVD burning software, so I don't think there would be any other faster software...
