    :D That's such a slick jacket.

I just find one thing a little perplexing: The iPod is supposed to handle temperatures no lower than 50ºF (about 10ºC). So if you wore this jacket in the winter outside, would your iPod still work?

I dont know, I am eager to find out
I got an iPod this summer that says

    "Pray 4 Snow"
Because i wanted to ride with it.

I think if it is close enough to your body you can keep it warm..

I rode Mt Baker, Tahoe, NH, VT (US Open), and a couple other places with the iPod in an inside chest pocket and it always lasted the whole day of continuous or near continuous use.
Burton makes good gear, you'll be happy with that jacket.

I still like Burton's boards and think they make good product, but I've switched over to airwalk before last season for boots and clothes (hookup, ya know), while my favorite board brand now is Motive. I'm still keeping my Burton bindings no matter what.

I love my burton floater. (172 cm) I have a hard time riding short boards.

It's possible that the insulation of the jacket and body heat could keep it at a reasonable temperature but i'd think it would be rather close to that 50F, if not under. Of course maybe Apple knows it can cope with lower temperatures but is just playing safe in putting the 50F 'limit' on.

I've gone riding with iPod many times, in my jacket pocket, and its been fine!

If the HD does freeze up though, then just reset it and you'll be good to go

Resetting can be done by holding the MENU and PLAY button at the same time, together, for a few seconds....

That jacket is gorgeous! I checked it out last night at an apple store opening.
