Sciences & Technology Directorate. Sounds like something out of an old James Bond or some other 60's cold war movie. Doesn't inspire confidence in me, I mean the name along with their lack of leadership.

The acronym STD doesn't exactly inspire enthusiasm.

The most alarming part of the story is the $200 million that the department were given for R&D, but didn't spend and had to give back!

These people are meant to keep the US public safe, yet according the story they are lacking leadership. So who is responsible for the running of the STD and Homeland Security, and why have they still got their job?

if by "you guys", you mean the (roughly) 33% who still support bush, then i agree with you. if you mean "you guys here in the forum," then, no, many of us had that figured out years ago.

You know, I don't see what the big deal is here. I mean, that's 6 million dollars that could benefit us in so many more areas. Let's face it, Haliburton sure could use that money to equip us with better oil drilling equipment, Bibles could be handed out at 7 schools in the midwest, or for God's sake, we could even put that toward the spy program!

I am voting Hell's Angels before I vote Republican in this election, that's for sure.

Well, they beat the living **** out of you and you can't go to a hospital if you want to fall under their Protection Plan. Does that count?

How 'bout four chicks at the same time? I figure with six million bucks I could probably hook that up.
