This is going from bad to worse. Has nobody over there heard of an independent inquiry? Perhaps Bush will impeach himself. What kind of a system are you under over there? Your whole administration is becoming a satire on itself.

Christ, he may not have a clue what he's talking about half the time, but you'd think the people around him would make sure he was clued up enough about the given subject that he didn't come off looking like a kid in "high school" giving a class speech about something they completely forgot to study for the night before!

    ARGH!

We have something we havent had in 50 years and thats having the republicans run everything. ...In a Nutshell.... The American people will catch on just like they did all those years ago. history repeating itself.

America works better when both partys share power in our Govt in my view.

I agree absolutely. At least things don't seem to get too crazy (in either direction) when the power is split up better than it is right now. One of the things I get frustrated about is that, when the power changes hands, the two parties waste an awful lot of time and energy dismantling one another's programs and policies rather than moving forwards.

all politics and whitewashing aside, does the POTUS really have enough time to lead any investigation? in bush's case, that speaks to a bad understanding of delegation and time management.

politics and whitewashing now back in, this report (which is probably already drafted) will have less teeth than the 9/11 report.

The sad thing to me as a non-radical Christian, is feeling that all these policies that the current administration is pushing will not succeed, but instead cause a backlash of those against them, and in effect ending in the reverse of what he was trying to accomplish.

Too bad they NEED those issues to cover up how poorly the 'war on terrorism' and economy are going.

Bush will lead the investigation by being first in line
to the White House document shredders.

The rest will be covered by a massive shipment of text redaction Sharpies courtesy of FEMA.

This is truly an American disgrace.

The New Orleans government certainly has no cross to bear on not being able to respond - TWO close calls last year - everyone sat around and went "Man we'd be screwed if that happened to us."

I'm certainly not defending or applauding the administration, but come on.

in one of their new york offices, a writer just smacked himself in the forehead, crumpled up a piece of paper and got himself a new one.

Oh and of course Bush manages to put Roberts in the Supreme Court
just in case things get out of hand.

    This makes me sick.
