Do i need to buy WoW and WoW:BC to be able to play? Or just WoW:BC?
Both if you want Burning Crusade features. You can just buy plain, vanilla WoW.
Plain Vanilla WoW sold 8 million copies.
So I just can't buy WoW:BC by itself and start playing? So instead of $39.99, I have to buy the original for another $19.99?
The original also comes with 1 month of gaming time, which costs $15 in and of itself, so you're really not paying much for the game anymore.
cool.. thanks everyone.
Aside from the new races, you won't be able to do anything really BC related for months anyway.
Welcome to WoW. Join to Aegywnn server and look for Magebotan!
I ended up just buying WoW:BC. I had installed the original WoW from a friend's copy and activated my 10-day trial prior to purchasing. When I bought BC, it installed without a hitch and I was able to upgrade to a BC account w/o having to purchase the original WoW. It's been fun so far.. mostly interacting and playing with my siblings back home.
I'll be surprised if that continues to work after the 10 day trial period...you should need to have your own copy of WoW
please keep us updated on if that does work after the 10 day trial is up. i am quite curious.
After the 10 days are over, I will let you know if anything happens.
I justs checked my account online at their website. After the 10-day trial is over, there is a scheduled charge for $21.38, which I'm assuming is for my 'copy' of the original WoW. My 6-month payment doesn't get charged until 1 month after that. So I guess in a way, you're right, I do need to pay for the original WoW.
Great avatar chibianh.
You may want to see if you can pick up a copy in a store somewhere. It'll save you a few bucks.
Or just pay it, then if u need to reinstall drop like 2 bucks and pick up the trial edition on dvd. This way u dont have like 5 CDs with WoW on it.
