I saw a 20 gig PS3 at Walmart yesterday. I thought they discontinued the 20 gig Does anyone know if they are still making them? Maybe that one was just a left over.

No, they will support it, but feel free to call Sony and verify.

yes there are still 20 gigs just not as much because they lose more money when they produce 20 gigs the market is about 80% 60 gigs and 20% 20gigs

My local Wal-Mart doesn't even carry the 20GB anymore. Oh well, I planned on getting the 60 eventually anyway.

I have the 20gb and I'm perfectly happy with it. If I ever run out of room I can easily upgrade to a 120gb or larger drive. As for wireless network, it's not as fast as Cat5 and media card readers seem like an afterthought and something I wouldn't use anyway.

A 20gig is the same as the 60..except it does not have the wifi etc..I know sony will support it because there is really not a difference.

    Bless

Judging by the cheap flimsy port cover that looks like it will snap off sooner rather than later, I would agree.

Wifi is the most handy thing in the 60gb model though.

20s were not available the day I bought my system (Jan 1)

I thought that too, until I pulled the media card from my digital camera and ran a slideshow.

Whole lot easier than cramming a number of people into my computer room to watch on the much smaller cpu monitor, or connecting the I/O cable from the camera to the TV and manually running a slideshow from the camera.

The wireless connection makes both system firmware and game updates more convenient (the system is downstairs, my router is upstairs.)

If the OP already owns a Wii or 360, they can also do photo slideshows on both of those, so that feature may not be something tim2006 needs to have. [Just a thought.] :)
