I have ordered a Mac Book Pro from Amazon and had a question for any of you that might ordered a computer from them in the past. I read Amazon's return policy and it basically says that you can return a computer if it is DOA or is defective. I am one of those people who can't abide dead pixels on my laptop. I was wondering if anyone had returned a lap to Amazon for any reason but especially pixel problems and what was the result? Did you have to pay 15% restocking? Thanks

Wouldn't you be able to go straight to Apple to take care of that? Doesn't that fall under the Apple 1 yr warranty?

Give Apple and Amazon a call to make sure, although I spoke to the tech guy from Amazon the other day and he wasn't very helpful.

Depends. Apple is VERY strict on their deal pixel policy. If you have one or two dead pixels...even if they are dead center screen...they consider that "within spec" and not a warranty issue.

As for Amazon's policy, you'll have to call them up and ask what their policy is on dead pixels. Personally, I would consider that defective, but I'm not the one making the decision.
