He/she seems to think the Microsoft DRM is easy to break, but I doubt it.

He/she doesn't seem to realize either that those downloads can't be transferred to another PC when you retire your current one!

By sheer coincidence, I just happened to have bought the same Barenaked Ladies, Greatest Hits album from iTMS this week. I hear none of the loss in fidelity issues that he hears on the "Pinch Me" track - or any other track for that matter - score another one up for AAC 128 Bit over WMA!

FWIW- That's my 1st full album purchase from iTMS. :D

(Note - "Pinch Me" has a muffled, low-fi drum track running for much of the song with a 2nd, hi-fi drum track at certain measures. I asume the reviewer knows this and is not saying that that muffled sound is due to some problem with the WMA compression)

Having read that review, I don't think I would have given buymusic a C rating like the author did.

Maybe mac users just have higher standards!

This is why iTMS for Windows may be in trouble!

From discussions with my unwashed Windows user friends, this seems to be the general opinion. Most of them aren't too concerned with Big Brother and User Rights concerns - so that's pretty much a non-issue. As for the UI - they have to deal with Windows (and all of its issues/problems) all day long, so this sight is just "Acceptable". If they are not a hardcore P2P downloader, and want to purchase music, this will do just fine.

If iTunes for Windows doesn't get out there sooner rather than later ... well, it might just be too late.
