Generals would require a VERY fast Mac to run well, it jerks sometimes on my AMD 2000XP with Radeon 8500.

Tiberium Sun was a good game. I used to play that on a pc that I was forced to use for a while. However, I have run in it in VPC since then. Its not great, but it runs. I have a Dual 1Ghz with 1Gb of RAM. If you have a fast machine then give it a go.

its really just 'eh'. the game looks great, but is just more of the same. nothing that makes it really worth buying. also, you think we are getting screwed? nah, its the people that are buying the game that are getting screwed. its way to clunky and requires some ridiculous hardware. its very VERY touchy about its video cards and specific drivers. i have had about 40% of the people who bought it, take it back, because it just wouldn't work on their brand new powerful pcs.

The game is a let-down. Lazy programming and all that stuff, when a game requires a CRAY to run a RTS game we have to question whats up!
red-alert 2 was much better. I waited for this game and was very dissapointed when I installed it.

Red Alert came out in 1996 and expansions in 1997. This was the time when many insiders thought Apple would soon be closing down. Lets not forget the infamous Wired cover that showed an Apple logo and the words "PRAY".

However, I'd like to see Red Alert 1 and 2, Tiberian Sun and their expansions in a bundle for OS X.

Why would Westwood pay someone to port over code for a game when Apple was on the verge of closing/restructuring? It makes sense that they didn't, but at the time I was against Westwood.

What made my blood boil was seeing Westwood's testimonial of how Lightwave on OS X was used to create Red Alert 2's graphics.

They used the Mac as a production tool. They should mave built a Mac version as well.
