a little over a month ago i calibrated my battery. all is fine. battery health 99% ; battery capacity 98%
about once or twice a week i exercise my battery for a couple hours.

stats were about the same until
today, i calibrated my battery again.
battery health dropped to 96% and capacity dropped to 92%

by recalibrating, i lost 3% health and 6% capacity.

should running down the battery for calibration cost so much health?

It didn't cost you anything. What it did was allow your computer to correctly calculate how much capacity you really have.

Your battery capacity had already decreased before you calibrated it, but the calibration now allows you to see that.

    thanx wildcowboy.

i had worried that the act of completely depleting my battery had caused a health concern. of course it DID cost me another cycle – to be expected.

how many cycles should i expect a battery to live?

If I'm down to 91 % health after 60 cycles, should I be worried?

Not at all. Im on 90% apparently, but my battery still lasts as long as it did 6 months ago.

    I'm on 94% health after 66 cycles.

However my battery health changes. Once it was like 83%.

I can actually notice a decrease in longevity. It doesn't last quite as long but it's still suitable for my needs. When it's dead I'll probly buy another one of ebay or a 3d party reseller (hopefully extended life!).
