How well will Call of Duty 2 run on the X1600 265VRAM card in the MacBook Pros?

I would think it should run decently well...since I have the Quad G5 and an upgraded X1900 G5 card. I run it at 1920 x1200 and it's fine...i think you'll be alright...just don't max out the settings.

i play it on my 2.33 C2D MBP - it's good fun but it doesnt run smoothly at native res, drop that a bit (cant remember exactly but res at 1280 wide I think)- it looks great still and plays well.

Somehow the poster a few above said that on his MBP 2.33 it didnt run smoothly at native res???

I have a MBP 2.0ghz coreduo with 128 X1600 and I find the game runs acceptably slightly below native resolution, with the settings aptly adjusted. Its all a matter of what is and isn't acceptable - if you want to play the game for real, you'll probably have to down the settings/res a bit. If you just want to open it up from time to time and play a checkpoint or two, maybe you can get by with the framerate drops/stutters of running at native resolution.

Really, you should let people know what you find acceptable and then we can better give you an idea of what to expect :)

i hate when 3d games stutter at all, and when you've got a big battle field with smoke and lots of action the realism is destroyed by stutter -so i prefer to drop the res

Maybe some of you can post some framerates instead? stating that the game runs well or horribly doesn't do the OP any favors since your standards for acceptable performance are probably different from his.

Runs great at 1440x900 for me with all of the settings maxed out. It seems like the original 2 Ghz MBP was made to play COD2.
