A quick question for all Mac Mini users. I just noticed that when my Mini is off, but still plugged into a live mains supply that a faint green LED light glows out of the front right bottom corner. What I mean is that the glow comes from underneath the machine (I am not simply referring to the white light that can be seen at the front when the Mini is on). Could some other Mac Mini users check and let me know if others do the same? Does anyone NOT have this happening?

Best to check in a dark room, or by lifting your Mini slightly and looking at the front right bottom corner (underneath).

    Hi there,

I will have to double check but i think i would have noticed a green colour from the underside or any side for that matter. I use it as a HTPC and have watched movies etc with the lights low and havent noticed that. Again i will double check but very unusual problem.

I think you'll find most computers that are powered off, but connected to the live mains have the same on LED. The Mac has power going into the unit so it can turn it's self on (if you've set power management to do so).

I noticed this last night for the first time. I have the low end most recent mini.

I owned a 2007 mini (intel graphics) before and never noticed this LED...it is probably just an LED on the motherboard that indicates that it is receiving power. I think the boards on the new mini were re-designed (mini server).
