Has anyone found a converter or some sort of interface that will enable the use of PS2 or xBox or any other game console on an iMac?

    Thanks

The problem with EyeTV is it only does S-Video at best. Is there anything that allows component or HDMI to plug into an iMac? Seems such a waste to have a HD screen that I can't plug into.

No, there's not. Or if there is, it's not zero-latency.

It would be nice if apple put a mini-video in on the back of the iMac along side the DVI out. Charge people for the dongles or whatever but at least give people that option. With EFI the mac could be set to boot up with an option to do OSX/bootcamp/just a screen.

Or maybe let you view in OSX.

anything above a PS1 can not be emulated in a fashion you would be happy with anyway.

be it, dreamcast, XBOX, PS2, XBOX360 or PS3, it aint gonna happen for a long long long long long time, if ever.

dig up your old carts, and stick with the NES, SNES emus, they at least are better than the actual console!

There are also N64 emus, but it's FAR more awkward than using the proper controller. SNES emus (legal if you own the original cartrige IIRC), are good with a joybox (SNES/PS2 controller<->USB adaptor).
