would someone be willing to post an idiots step by step guide for using Final Cut Pro. Right from what to do when connecting recorder to computer etc, a real step by step guide to import and edit and burn.

That's a pretty tall order, you should just go pick up a Visual Quickstart Guide for FCP. :)

The manuals and tutorial that came w/FCP are pretty thru and easy to read, IMO. Of course you have to leave out the "burn" part 'cause you another proggie for that (iDVD or DVD SP).

Agreed. Though it doesn't come with a DVD of files, this is an excellent book and the price is unbeatable.

If you need a guide on how to connect your camera up to the computer you might want to start with iMovie/iDVD & not a pro App.

If you dont know how to use FCP, then don't use it.

If you want to LEARN how to use it, google, read, buy a book, take a course.

Its not something you can do "step by step" because there is a bazillion different ways to do a bazillion different things.

Either be more specific in your request, like you are having a specific problem, but if you are looking for an FCP tutorial, this aint the place.
